My wife and I spent a few days at the hotel this past weekend. Staff was great, Tiki bar next door had great food along with Dante's. Was attracted to this hotel since it is advertised as great for couples. It was great on Sunday and Monday, very peaceful, all other guests were couples that were quiet and very friendly. On Tuesday suddenly the peace was interrupted with a woman and her 4 very loud grandkids, the beach area and pool area both went from peaceful to obnoxious. I have kids and a granddaughter, so I love children but wanted to stay here to get away as a couple in peace. Not the staffs fault but should not advertise as great for couples when children are welcome.

The staff at Song of the Sea were excellent and the day time staff at the front desk Victoria was extra helpful to make our stay at the in excellent! The grounds are amazing, flowers and lush trees like your staying in your own private gardens, nice pool although cause of COV19 there was no Jacuzzi plus the adjoining properties have an excellent Tiki bar and grill which have excellent simple meals well prepared with great flavor! We went there for some R&R and the beach was fantastic plus allot less kids at the beach and the pool so we had a relaxing time. The rooms are a little retro but ours had and extra back couch/bedroom W/TV and the air conditioning never failed once. I would recommend if you can get it a second floor room so you would have a better view of the beach but even the first floor rooms have that garden view which is outstanding. The grounds remind me like resorts in Jamaica without going on a plan and getting taxied around for hours to get there. I have to say it again Victoria and her staff were 5 star plus in going out of there way to make us feel at home!

As a Tampa Bay native the Gulf of Mexico is nothing new, but my stay at Song of the Sea has changed that opinion! Nature, Preserves, Iguanas, Starfish, Sand Dollars, Turtles, Dolphins, Swamp Rabbits, pristine mature tropical fruit trees. Property is so quiet and spacious, very zen with old Florida beach charm. Quality free bikes, pool, hammock, gas grille, pebbled pathway, free driving range access w/ dramatically reduced green fees, garden, private beach access, free beach cabanas, quality a/c, luxury beds and bedding, complimentary breakfast via room delivery. Everybody gets balcony/lanai to sit outside mosquito free. Captiva’s just a stones throw away via amazing scenic drive.

Brad was very helpful when we got to the hotel. Our air conditioning went out during our stay and we had to move to another room but no upgrade was offered for our inconvenience to move which was notable. Beach access was great and it was nice to have umbrellas and lounge chairs on the beach. We also enjoyed access to free paddleboarding in the mornings.

Loving staying here! First time, My mother needs hip surgery had trouble getting into the pool. The staff created a step stool just for her so she could still swim easily! Above & beyond to help enjoy our stay. Thank you.
