Paramos aqui para almoçar e foi uma experiência totalmente agradável. O Red Lion Inn está repleto de belas antiguidades e itens decorativos incomuns, incluindo centenas de bules antigos e China. Há também uma loja de presentes muito bonita na qual minha irmã comprou uma bolsa azul e branca. Para o almoço, nosso servidor, Adam, foi excelente, muito rápido, cortês e solícito. Minha esposa teve o peixe e fritas, minha irmã o Smash Burger e eu tivemos o rolo de lagosta - tudo delicioso! Altamente recomendado!

We stopped here for lunch and it was a totally delightful experience. The Red Lion Inn is filled with beautiful antiques and unusual decorative items including hundreds of antique teapots and China. There is a very lovely gift shop as well in which my sister purchased a blue and white clutch bag. For lunch, our server, Adam, was excellent, very prompt, courteous and solicitous. My wife had the fish and chips, my sister the Smash Burger and I had the lobster roll - all delicious! Highly recommended!

Tanta história! O fato de eu poder andar por uma bela rua de cidade pequena e depois sentar na varanda de um lugar tão antigo (1773) me surpreendeu. Não parece haver muitos lugares na América deixados assim. Eu amo todas as coisas históricas. Eles têm muitas cadeiras e sofás de vime para você apenas sentar e fazer uma pausa. Nós certamente fizemos! Há também uma pequena loja de presentes para passear e, ao fazer isso, você pode passear um pouco em algumas das salas principais no primeiro andar. Nós não comemos ou ficamos aqui, apenas admiramos.

Este é um hotel incrível e histórico. Tem uma sensação muito antiga de Berkshire, remontando a um tempo mais simples. Eu fiquei aqui muitas vezes com minha família e nós apreciamos cada visita. O restaurante é ótimo também. As couves de Bruxelas são as melhores que já comi e o sanduíche de peru é como o Dia de Ação de Graças para ir. O lobby é grande com sua grande lareira e elevador de gaiola. Há uma sala de jogos ao lado e um bar fantástico e pitoresco também.

Este es un hotel increíble e histórico. Tiene una sensación muy antigua de Berkshire, que se remonta a una época más simple. Me he alojado aquí muchas veces con mi familia y hemos disfrutado cada visita. El restaurante también es genial. Las coles de Bruselas son las mejores que he probado y el sándwich de pavo es como el Día de Acción de Gracias para llevar. El vestíbulo es fantástico, con su gran chimenea y su ascensor tipo jaula. Hay una sala de juegos a un lado y un bar fantástico y pintoresco también.

Just went here for drinks, but I don't get it.It's old, dusty and in desperate need of refurbishment.The bar tender in the tavern ignored us for a good 10 minutes even though there was only one other couple in the bar.For some reason they don't have all the beverage mixers at the bar and she had to go in back to get Arnold Palmer.The furniture is worn down as is the exterior of the building.I realize there aren't many options in the area for hotels, but hard pass.

So much history!The fact that I was able to walk down a beautiful small town street and then sit on the porch of such an old place (1773) blew me away.There doesn't seem to be many places in America left like this.I love all things historic.They have plenty of wicker chairs and sofas for you to just sit and take a break.We certainly did!There is also a small gift shop to walk around in and while doing that you can wander a bit in some of the main rooms on the first floor. We did not eat or stay here, just admired.

This is an amazing and historical hotel. It has a very old Berkshire feel to it, harking back to a simpler time. I've stayed here many times with my family and we've enjoyed each visit. The restaurant is terrific as well. The Brussel sprouts are the best I've ever had and the turkey sandwich is like Thanksgiving to go. The lobby is great with its large fireplace and cage elevator. There's a game room off to the side and a fantastic, quaint bar as well.

Geral: Esta foi uma das piores experiências globais de hotel que tive em décadas (especialmente relacionadas ao valor) Em geral, as instalações são extremamente datadas e significativamente caras para a qualidade. Eu paguei menos por um quarto no hotel mais bem avaliado em Manhattan. Para mais detalhes veja os comentários abaixo.Embora amigável, a equipe não foi especialmente útil. Eles simplesmente me entregaram um pedaço de papel dizendo: "Aqui está tudo o que você precisa saber sobre o hotel". Apesar de terem me dito onde era meu quarto, não perguntaram se eu precisava de ajuda com minhas malas (o que eles não fornecem) nem me informaram que carrinhos de bagagem e elevador estavam disponíveis para evitar ter que carregar várias malas para cima dois lances de escada.Quartos: Uau. honestamente o valor cobrado pela qualidade estava beirando o criminoso. Em suma, o restaurante sempre parecia despreparado para os hóspedes e pedidos, especialmente no domingo de manhã. Nosso pedido de panqueca levou cerca de 45 minutos para chegar e a sala de jantar não estava cheia, nem havia grandes festas (apenas uma das 6 pessoas que eu podia ver). Minha sobrinha esperou mais de uma hora por comida para seus dois filhos pequenos, um deles começou a chorar de tanta fome. Quando ela disse algo ao garçom, ele disse: "Estávamos muito ocupados. Você não viu que a sala de jantar estava cheia?" (Não foi). Quando minha sobrinha respondeu que deveria ter ido para outro lugar, um servidor diferente (uma mulher mais velha) disse: "Você deveria!" Sério!!! Que tal não sentar as pessoas se sua cozinha e garçons não são capazes de servir mais do que algumas mesas de cada vez. Isso por si só teria manchado até mesmo uma experiência positiva em geral, mas à luz de todos os outros problemas, sugere que o Red Lion tem problemas que precisa resolver.A equipe do bar foi muito profissional e trabalhou inacreditavelmente duro durante o ataque do grupo de casamento na sexta-feira à noite. The hotel is pretty old, so don't expect modern hotel rooms. The room where we stayed was pretty big and spacious, the bathroom was pretty nice. The is an outside heated pool. The breakfast was good and pretty reasonable price. The coffee was good. The customer service was friendly.

Overall: This was one of the worst overall hotel experiences I've had in decades (especially related to the value) Overall the facilities are extremely dated and significantly overpriced for the quality. I've paid less for a room in top rated hotel in Manhattan. For more details see comments below.
While friendly, the staff was not especially helpful. They simply handed me a piece of paper saying, "Here's everything you need to know about the hotel." Even though they told me where my room was, they didn't ask if I needed help with my bags (which they don't provide) or even inform me that luggage carts and an elevator was available to avoid having to carrying several bags up two flights of stairs.
Rooms: Wow. honestly the amount charged for the quality was bordering on criminal. If it weren't for all my family staying there to attend my nephew's wedding I would have checked out after one night. I didn't make a fuss while there because I didn't want to ruin the wonderful weekend celebrating my nephew.
I paid over $2,200 dollars for two rooms. Both rooms were in horrible condition - cracked ceiling, lumpy bed, bathroom with OLD/stained fixtures (how about putting something IN the shower to keep the soap and shampoo?), a floor that creaked with EVERY step which was covered by a stained carpet. The room door didn't fully close and had an opening between the jamb starting about halfway down that let in a lot of light (I had to hang a bathrobe on the deadbolt to keep out some of the light). The noise from the ROAD was incredible, even considering it's a small town.
Staff: Overall average score based combining my experience with the mostly friendly front-desk staff and the unfriendly behavior of some of the restaurant staff. In short, the restaurant always seemed unprepared for guests and ordering, especially Sunday morning. Our pancake order took about 45 minutes to get and the dining room was not full, nor were there any big parties (only one of 6 people that I could see). My niece waited over one hour for food for her two small children, one of them started to cry she was so hungry. When she said something to her waiter, he said, "We were very busy. Didn't you see the dining room was full?" (It wasn't). When my niece replied that she should have gone somewhere else, a different server (an older woman) said, "You should have!" Really!!! How about not seating people if your kitchen and wait staff are not capable of serving more than a few tables at a time. This alone would have tainted even a positive experience overall, but in light of all the other issues, suggests the Red Lion has problems it needs to address.
The bar staff was VERY professional and worked UNBELIEVABLY hard during the onslaught from the wedding group Friday evening. See my comments about the front desk staff not offering helpful info for getting our bags into our room or the existence of an elevator.
Other: I had to make changes and the (re)confirmation emails were a bit confusing and it was hard to tell I had booked the rooms that I wanted. For no apparent reason a charge for about $50 appeared on my credit card about 7 months after I made the original reservation where I paid a one-night deposit. It took a couple phone calls to the hotel to figure that out (which was no-one could explain it).

Fui aqui apenas para jantar, comemos na Taverna, que fica ao lado da sala de jantar principal e é mais casual. Enquanto o serviço foi ótimo, a refeição foi na melhor das hipóteses média, especialmente considerando o custo. Tínhamos comido aqui anos atrás e sempre foi a refeição contra a qual julguei todos os outros, desta vez foi bastante decepcionante. É um lugar bonito, você sente como se estivesse voltando no tempo, mas a qualidade da comida simplesmente não estava lá. Eu recomendaria tentar se você estiver interessado, apenas mantenha as expectativas sob controle.

Fui aquí solo para cenar, comí en la taberna que está junto al comedor principal y es más informal. Si bien el servicio fue excelente, la comida fue promedio en el mejor de los casos, especialmente considerando el costo. Habíamos comido aquí hace años y siempre fue la comida con la que juzgué a todos los demás, esta vez fue bastante decepcionante. Es un lugar hermoso, sientes que estás retrocediendo en el tiempo, pero la calidad de la comida no estaba allí. Recomendaría probar si está interesado, solo mantenga las expectativas bajo control.

Went here for dinner only, ate in the Tavern which us adjacent to the main dining room and is more casual. While the service was great, the meal was average at best especiallyconsideringthe cost. We had eaten here years ago and it was always the meal I judged all others against, this time around it was quite the let down. It is a beautiful place, you do feel like you are taking a step back in time, but the food quality just wasn't there. I would recommend trying if you are interested, just keep expectations in check.

Eu amo o Leão Vermelho. Minha família é de Stockbridge. Então eu sou um pouco tendencioso. Já fiquei lá algumas vezes. não vou mais. Tenho 40 anos. Não quero gastar centenas de dólares para ficar no armário da minha avó!! Se você tem mais de 60 anos e quer nostalgia, o lugar é perfeito. Eu adoro ir lá para jantar e bebidas. Eu vou fazer isso o dia todo. Sentar na varanda é ótimo no verão. O lugar só precisa atualizar um pouco.

I love the Red Lion. My family is from Stockbridge. So I'm a little biased. I have stayed there a few times. I will not anymore. I'm 40. I do not want to spend hundreds of dollars to stay in my grandmother's linen closet!! If you are 60+ and want nostalgia,place is perfect. I love going there for dinner and drinks. I will do that all day. Sitting on the porch is great in the summer. Place just needs to update a bit.
