Dating from 1910 Hotel Seehof is located in Walenstadt directly on the shore of Lake Walensee. It offers free internet access and has a restaurant with lake views. All rooms have a TV and a hairdryer and some also have a balcony. Hotel Restaurant Seehof offers a shuttle service to the Unterterzen cable car which takes guests into the Tannenbodenalp-Flumserberg ski area.

Located next to the Walensee, the location was very nice. The Service was okay, but very unfriendly - we had just some drinks and want to pay with card, but there was a limit of 20sfr needed. As we want to pay cash in EUR, the waiter was very unfriendly.

The personal in the restaurant highly arrogant and unfriendly. For them the guest seems more of a burden than a guest, in their eyes obviously obliged first to buckle down to find himself "worthy" for treatment with even a minimum of decency and respect, from friendliness not to talk even. A catastrophy.

Had a smashing lunch during asparagus season! Asparagus, avocado & tiger prawn salad. Wanted it as a main course, not a starter; that caused some consternation, but eventually with the dreaded handheld computer device, the waitress found a way to order! Wife had the battered lake fish, calamari & chips & mother-in-law has lake fish fillets. All meals of superb quality & enjoyed outside in brilliant April sunshine. Well done Seehof!

Waitstaff was great, but food was VERY bland for the pricetag. My seafood platter was $30, but the 2 pieces of calamari and 3 pieces of shrimp tasted like cheap frozen food. I also spent more time swatting away flies than eating...
