Haven Cottage

A 5-minute walk from Ambleside and a mile from Lake Windermere the largest natural lake in England this charming guest house was originally 2 separate Victorian cottages. It specialises in home-cooked food and offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Haven Cottage still retains traditional old features like wooden beams and feature fireplaces. Most rooms benefit from picturesque mountain views and all feature a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is provided each morning made with Cumberland sausage or vegetarian sausage lightly smoked dry-cured bacon and other locally sourced ingredients. A number of scenic walking routes start from Haven Cottage and cycle storage is provided if guests wish to bring their bicycle. The market town of Keswick is a 20-minute drive away.
