What a great shabby chic little place in the heart of Rome. Steps away from Piazza Navona. Near lots of great restaurants and good shopping. The people are wonderful and there very much to take care of you like you were part of the family.

My husband and I love to travel, eat well, and explore thoughtfully designed hospitality spaces. Staying at G-Rough in Rome, provided exactly that - but even more.
During a long trip to Positano the weather took a turn for the worse, leaving us with touristy food destinations, little to do outdoors and a craving for an adventure. We spontaneously hopped on a train for 24 hr visit to Rome in hope of finding a few authentic and quality meals.
Upon entering G-Rough, we were surprised and a little confused to be greeted by an intimate lounge/bar space, not realizing the “lobby check in desk” was within this type of setting. We immediately felt at home when greeted by Stefano and Marco. We enjoyed a cocktail while learning all about the local and historical story telling built into the design of this collaborative space.
We understood that 10 interior designers/artists were brought into create 10 unique apartment style spaces. Each room is named after the designer who designed the suite making each feel truly like your in someone’s home. Within a few short hours it already felt like our home. We even ordered a scheduled breakfast room service for the next morning (which we rarely do while traveling, because it’s usually not the best) but it arrived promptly as expected, was well seasoned and delicious!
We can not say enough great things about Stefano. Beyond great conversation, he shared amazing recommendations with us, helping to maximize the short time we had to enjoy the city. He even went as far to personally book us lunch and dinner reservations at two insanely delicious and locally authentic restaurants. He was present through our whole stay and made us feel at ease from the second we arrived, to stepping into the taxi he called back to the train station for us.
We so much admired the love the appreciation Stefano and the staff had for their city and all that is has to offer. Rome is truly a work of art, and G-Rough is no different.
If you don’t stay here you’re already making the biggest mistake of your trip to Rome! We know we’ll be back and for a much longer stay next time!

Fantastic location and excellent decor. The rooms are absolutely massive and so chic. Very helpful service before and during our stay. Breakfast is lovely as are the amenities in the room. The bed was extremely comfortable with lovely linen sheets.

Very trendy, boutique style hotel with minimal number of rooms. We stayed in the 2 bed apartment which is 2 rooms joined but both different. Exceptional design work and the breakfast is very healthy and intimate. Staff are exceptional and available for all your needs. Cocktail bar before bed also makes exceptional cocktails (too good to be honest!!!).

Fantastic all round - super cool boutique hotel with priceless mid century Italian furniture - beyond stylish. Luxury features including linen sheets and towels, food and drink and great staff - feels like you are staying at an incredibly cool friend's home in Rome! Will be back.
