Beautiful setting, very nice, spacious and clean rooms. Excellent service. Very good options at buffet breakfast and option for to pay for evening buffet meal too. Pool restaurant also serves decent food . There are activities every night and some activities for adults and children during the day

SO AMAZING! has a 2 pools, one indoor one outdoor a jacuzzi, also they host free FUN aquarobics activities during the afternoon and have a lot of nice pool equipment. the room cleaning is very nice, rooms in general very cool, usually travelling with a teen most hotels dont give a second bed in advance but this one did. reception desk workers always nice and will always help you, can get free towels at reception, table tennis, conference room, library, spa, gym, an amazing lobby and honestly very child friendly. couldn't be more satisfied and honestly just as good as a 5star hotel. however i will note, the breakfasts could be a bit more diverse, but they do serve champagne in the morning and most people do usually drink it! 🥱

Having just returned from 2 weeks holiday I can not praise this hotel highly enough. All staff throughout the hotel could not have been more welcoming and friendly, the standards of cleanliness was high and the hotel provided all amenities.
The food was excellent and the menu varied to cover all tastes. The hotel even provides a free shuttle bus to funchal 5 times a day which was always punctual.
Would love to stay again and so should anyone wanting a first rate hotel in a stunning location with great weather and great staff.

Excellent stay. All staff were very happy, polite & professional. Rooms very spacious & clean. Beautiful views from our balcony over looking the sea, pool & gardens in the hotel grounds. Breakfast was good. My partners birthday whilst we were staying there & the hotel surprised us with a complimentry meal , a bottle of sparkling wine & other drinks. Also surprised him with a birthday cake. Also I had an amazing massage whilst staying there. Would recommend.

We stayed in an ocean view studio on a B+B basis so had a good sized fridge and cooking facilities
The room was massive... Initially set up for a family, it was just me and the wife so we had loads of space, but it would easily accommodate a family with room to spare.
The hotel is immaculate. You can't look around without seeing someone cleaning, and the facilities are really high end
The pool is just lovely with a jacuzzi and more than ample sun loungers so there was never a scuffle to find a place to look out over the ocean.
The setting really is something to be experienced...
My wife said the reflexology in the spa was the best she had ever had... (paid service, but worth every penny by all accounts)
The only downside is that it is slightly remote, but it has ample shops bars and restaurants around in easy walking distance, so it was perfect for us.
If you're more of a night dweller some bars are open till 2am but you would probably be better off closer to Funchal
There are some very minor hidden costs such as having to pay to use the room safe, replacing pool towels and depending on your room paying to use the indoor pool, however these are very small amounts. I just think they should be rolled in to the price, but a very small gripe
Already planning to come back next year, with the only adjustment being to upgrade to all inclusive, as the food and drinks are of a very high standard and not at all like the "volume over quality" stuff you get in lesser establishments

Excellent hotel
Went for 11 day's last year
We have 2 weeks booked this year hoping to get back to a first class hotel
I cannot thank the staff enough for there excellent care to there guests
Daily bus service into Funchal collected and dropped of at the hotel
Food and Beverages all excellent as well
We both cannot Express our gratitude to this hotel

We are here on a two week break despite a mix up with the bookings for our rooms. I cannot fault the staff here . The Reception team are very helpful with advice . I would like to thank ivonne on Reception for helping us during our stay . Overall the hotel is very clean. The use of face coverings makes me and my family feel very safe during these challenging times the food is very good here at breakfast & dinner 🍽 . Lovely rooms

Stayed beginning of Sep for a week. Lovely staff & exceptionally clean. Rooms were very comfortable. Given Covid there are sanitisation stations throughout & the reception/restaurant/bar staff are doing everything they can to keep everyone safe by sanitising tables, gloves to be worn in the buffet & masks at all times. Pool is salt water & there were plenty of beds available throughout the day. We had a relaxing & enjoyable week & felt very safe throughout our stay.

We were extremely satisfied with the hotel. The location is amazing, the staff was kind, helpful and nice. The food in the hotel's restaurant is very tasty. The surroundings of the hotel are well kept and clean. The view from the hotel is breathtaking. I celebrated my birthday there . The hotel surprised me and my husband with a 5 course meal. I had an overall amazing experience and recomend staying there to everyone. Great place, amazing people !!! Thank you
