First Hotel Grand Falun is located in central Falun only 5 minutes' walk from the Central Station. This historic hotel dating back to 1862 features a 24-hour reception and free WiFi access.All rooms were renovated in 2015 with a design inspired by Falun heritage. The walls are painted in warm colors taken directly from the hotel's historic banquet hall. The rooms feature a desk and a TV.At the hotel restaurant O'Learys guests can enjoy an extensive menu of traditional pub dishes. Guests are able to watch the latest sport events in the restaurant and the bar. A breakfast buffet with a wide selection and homemade bread is served in the breakfast restaurant.The UNESCO-listed Falun Copper Mine is 1 km away. Limpeza descuidada. Encontramos poeira para uma empresa inteira dentro da sala e depois encontramos uma caixa de TV extra que ficava entre os colchões, e bem visível. MAS! Em sua totalidade uma estadia maravilhosa. Camas soberbas com alto conforto, banheiro incrivelmente luxuoso com ducha e banheira e um dos melhores cafés da manhã que já tomamos durante uma estadia em hotel.Bom restaurante e todos longe estão bem espalhados.Teremos o prazer de voltar aqui.

Limpieza descuidada. Encontré polvo para toda una empresa dentro de la habitación y luego encontramos una caja de TV adicional que estaba entre los colchones y bastante visible. ¡PERO! En su totalidad, una estancia maravillosa. Magníficas camas con gran comodidad, baño increíblemente lujoso con ducha y bañera y uno de los mejores desayunos que hemos tenido durante una estadía en un hotel.Buen restaurante y todos están bien distribuidos.Con mucho gusto volveremos aquí.

Very clean room with a comfortable bed. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel location was central and close to the train station The only thing that wasnt 5 out of 5 stars was breakfast buffet. Food selection was a bit lacking compared to competitor hotels in the same price range.

Somos um casal que passou algumas noites em um de seus quartos superiores. Nenhuma boa experiência, infelizmente, pois havia muito a desejar. Não havia geladeira, guarda-roupa, ar condicionado (havia um ventilador de mesa barato que girava em torno do ar ruim), nem limpeza, nem lugar para colocar sabão e xampu no chuveiro. Sabão e xampu bastavam para uma pessoa por dia. Com capacidade de resposta tanto na rua quanto no corredor. A TV tinha canais limitados. O hotel não foi particularmente degradado e pequeno-almoço estava bem. Nós fomos cobrados SEK 300 a mais pelo quarto do que o que foi declarado no momento da reserva. Não colocaremos nenhuma viagem de lazer aqui novamente.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this stay was dreadful. Fully booked and there were only two members of staff (for more than 200 guests), breakfast only served from 7-745 due to Covid restrictions but we weren’t told until we’d paid, when we asked for a refund/planned to go somewhere else we were told we couldn’t as it was booked through hotels.com, and last but not least, the rooms have dusty, dainty old fans and no decent ventilation, so on the warm summer evening we had to resort to leaving our windows wide open, which overlook a loud bar (Le Parc) with live music until 1am. Well worth avoiding this place, and taking the time to find a beautiful Airbnb or bed and breakfast which are plentiful in this wonderful region.

Even if I gave a 4 star review, i think it actually deserves 3 stars due to some small yet important facts: *The hotel is too old and not nicely maintained. *There is no restaurant in the hotel *no telephone in the rooms so you have to run back and forth between your room and reception if you need a small thing. *no fridge or minibar in rooms. Parking is located inside the hotel facilities still its paid( 8€/day). Why?! Nevertheless the personnel are super kind and guest-friendly. Another plus is hotel's location. For some reason one gets the impression that the management is not passionate about how details are important for holding a 4 star hotel... I didn't give 3 star as i only didn't want to lower the hotel ranking on Google. I recommend this property but expect some very visible deficiencies.

First of all, the staff is amazing, all of them. They helped me a lot, specially the morning shift receptionist. Located in the downtown, the city is beautiful, and it has an amazing copper mine. We went for "Sabaton Open Air" and spent just one night at the hotel. The room was big, but we weren't comfortable, we didn't sleep properly. For us, the beds were extremely soft. Breakfast was included and we could park our car at a private parking lots paying only 80kr for 24h (8 euros)

The hotel is well located. Rooms are small but comfortable.. My stay for a week was really worth it. They have a beautiful restaurant , but sadly it is closed due to corona. The hotel has a good view on both sides of the city...

Really good hotel with great staff. The rooms are always clean and very modern, lacking nothing. The beds are spotless and very durable.There’s an O’Learys on the second floor for all guests and visitors. So there’s always beer, sports and a great mood.The breakfast is rich and has something for everyone. In particularly the coffee and sausages are good.Staff is friendly and understanding, during the summer heatwave they offered us all extra fans for our rooms. Bag drop is always available too, however unmonitored.Best hotel in Falun.
