Hotel adaptado num prédio antigo da cidade de Budapeste com una arquitetura típica da região, com um pátio interno. Os quartos são modernos,confortáveis e bem espaçosos. Existem alguns desníveis de escadas, mas faz parte do ambiente. O caféda manhã éservido no porão do restaurante vizinho, Matyas Pince, com uma decoração que lembra um Hall medieval. A localização é ótima, ao lado do Danúbio e próxima dos principais pontos de interesse de Budapeste, com diárias bem convidativas.

Excelente localização, perto das atrações turísticas, restaurantes e comércio. O hotel podia estar em melhor estado de conservação, casas de banho muito antiquadas e com poucas condições e espaço. O quarto amplo. Pequeno almoço com pouca variedade.

The hotel is perfectly located, it is old historical building and these are the main advantages of the place. Everything that can be necessary is around. The hotel is old and need more renovation, but generally it is good for tourists: rooms are ok for 3 stars, price is normal, staff is very friendly and helpful. Estuve 7 díasy mi hicieron la habitación2 días nada más, para cambiar las toallas tenía que acercarme yo a la recepción,pq ellos no lo hacían. Ya con eso nada más,muy deficiente,no creo que vuelva jamás.

Hotel poco cuidado, con mobiliario y habitaciones envejecidas. Por las fotos parece mejor de lo que realmente es. Por lo menos la ubicación es muy buena, cerca del Danubio y la colina Geller

Can't fault it for the price. A little sceptical because of the exterior and creaking nature of the shared parts of the interior but... Zoltan (apologies if I've got the spelling wrong) on reception was only too pleased to help with any questions and had recommendations. The air conditioning in the room worked. Despite facing the main road, the room was quiet and the bed comfortable. For no frills value for money, I couldn't fault it

Our room was dark, bleak, depressing with minor damages to some of the amenities. The electric lighting system is poor. Building is old and deprecated. Luggage has to be carried out from the street to the reception on a few stairs :( And the pathway to the rooms is through a scary balcony overlooking an inside courtyard. Really scary! If you're into new & unconventional experience - maybe you'll like it. Some staff is nice, some other is stiff. Pros: location, breakfast room (nice, airy and bright) close parking and (sometimes) the price. Even the close parking has a trap: you need to pay with coins. If you do not have them... you will hate the trouble to get small coins in Budapest. I see it as a choice only for transit, and a night sleep, not more

I made a double room reservation with advanced payment at City Hotel Mátyás on February for 12-15 July through my agency. After pandemic period, it was impossible for me to go to this Hotel even to Hungary because there was no flight from Turkey. Since pandemic is a clear force majeure, my agency and I asked the Hotel to pay back my money. Unfortunately no answer to my several e-mails, no payment back, no response! Great location, nice concierges, cheap prices, only one con is that the housekeeping didn't vacuum well during our stay, and we stayed there for 7 nights. The woman at the reception desk was very helpful and nice. Good quality and price match.

We have reserved a room for two days for a month ago but there had been a delay for our flight so we arrived Hotel the second day. the person's behaviour at the reception desk was so bad.When we arrived at the desk he put a list on the desk and told us to find and mark our names on the list. We could not find our names and he told us to call booking com, because it is not his problem. We asked him second time to check again and he said he can't. The saddest thing is that he didn't ask our names and didn t check our passports. My Sister Got angry and then he checked the lists and found our names. That's why I gave one star. The Hotel is in the centre of Budapest. Everything was good with the Hotel.

Aunque esté frente al Danubio no merece la pena. Muy descuidado y antiguo. No nos limpiaron la habitación y eran dos camas pequeñas separadas, más bien para jóvenes que para parejas. No volveré a alojarme allí.

Close to the city center, nice and welcoming receptionists, clean rooms. Air conditioning was very loud and smelly and there was a loud noise coming from the drier and washing units which we could heard at any hour of night and day. The breakfast is ok but not that great as others said. There were omlette, cheese, some sortiments of ham and salami, tomatoes, hot-dog, bread, jam, tea, coffee and milk with some cereals. Depending on the day there were some fresh fruits
