We have stayed twice preciously in this hotels heyday. The website does not represent the current standard of the hotel. The front of the building is now the magistrates Court. The entrance is round the side of the building into a cluttered small reception area with the bar and breakfast area in one place. The room was dated with dirty carpet, damaged furniture, broken tiles in the bathroom and shower head not working correctly. We were a family only 1 seat provided. Breakfast was hot and the team courtious however the whole area seemed a place for the staffs family and children to congregate. Its very sad to revisit and see what a once lovely hotel has become.

Nice room, comfortable bed. The painter needs a lesson on avoiding light switches, cutting in and finishing off. Bathroom needs an update, cracked tiles etc. Breakfast was plentiful but extra to the room. It was fit for purpose and value for money.

Would not let my dog stay here never mind a human appalling attitude staff have no clue what they are doing. The place is dirty stains on the carpets no air conditioning big air units out side it ducting going through the windows place needs to be closed down. If you want a big family room it is cheaper to have than a single bed room prices are all made up and they change whatever they want for the same rooms manager is not fit to be running the place.

Had a one night stop over. Room was comfortable but a little worn in places. The one thing that did really disappoint was the one channel working on the tv. A basic free view that does not work is very disappointing. But a good breakfast made up for it.

The staff were friendly, the outside of the building looked like a building yard, the room was clean and the bed was comfy, but the room was too hot. We had breakfast included which was OK, but it would have been nice to have a menu to explain what was on offer rather than "full English".
I would stay again if I was in the area.
